Muß man nicht unbedingt haben – ich schon interessehalber:

Und ja: das ist nicht die Öltemperatur in der Ölwanne!
…hat die GT/GTL ja auch gar nicht – bei Trockensumpfschmierung…
Es ist eben eine der vielen Öltemperaturen innerhalb des Motors.
Und deren relative Änderung beim Warmfahren, in Städten bei 30°C
oder bei Autobahnheizerei ist durchaus interessant.

Mittlere Temperatur an dieser Messstelle übrigens 85°C – alles total entspannt…

It is not absolutely necessary – I want to have it anyway:

And You are right: It’s not the oil temperature in the oil tray!
The GT/GTL does not have an oil sump – it has dry sump lubrication…
What is measured is one of a lot different oil temperatures inside the engine.
And it is very interesting to see the relative change of temperature
while driving the engine warm, in very hot cities or
„racing“ on the „Autobahn“.

By the way: 85°C = average Temperature at this measuring-point – all fully relaxed…

Kleiner Hinweis noch für die ungeduldigen „Kaltheizer“:

Die Betriebstemperatur des Kühlwassers wird bereits nach ca. 3 km „korrekten“ Warmfahrens
bei niederen Drehzahlen und kleiner Last erreicht…

Die Betriebstemperatur des Öls erst nach ca. 15 km „korrekten“ Warmfahrens
bei niederen Drehzahlen und kleiner Last!

Und erst nach Erreichen der Betriebstemperatur des Motoröls,
das bei uns ja bekanntlich auch das Getriebe mitversorgt,
hat der gesamte Motor seine Betriebstemperatur in allen Bereichen erreicht.
Und sollte auch erst dann hochbelastet werden…

Little hint to the impatient „Cold-Runners“:

The operating temperature of the cooling water is reached already after
about 3km of correct „Warmdriving“ with low revs and small load…

The operating temperature of the engine (and gearbox) oil is reached after
a long 15km of correct „Warmdriving“ with low revs and small load…

Only after the oil having reached its operation temperature
the complete engine- and gearboxparts
also have obtained their working temperature in all  areas.

And should not be hard loaded before…
